Technologietransfer nach China: Kuka-Chef Till Reuter und MT-Chef Söhn bleiben gelassen

Nach der Übernahme des Roboterherstellers KUKA durch den chinesischen Haushaltsgerätehersteller Midea entwickeln sich die Geschäftszahlen für das Jahr 2017 weiter in die richtige Richtung. Die Umsatzerlöse liegen bei 3,5 Milliarden Euro, 18.5 Prozent mehr als im Vorjahr. Kuka-Chef Till Reuter zeigt sich mit den Zahlen sehr zufrieden und möchte in China weiter wachsen. Dafür werden mehrere Joint Ventures mit Midea gegründet. Ende März soll mit dem Bau eines neuen Roboterwerks in Shunde, dem Stammsitz von Midea begonnen werden. Kuka soll 50 Prozent der Anteile daran halten, und auch die Kontrolle.

Der Kauf war in der Öffentlichkeit stark umstritten. Von Politik und Medien wurden Befürchtungen vorgebracht, dass deutsche Schlüsseltechnologie und Know-how nach China abwandern könnten. Mit den neuen Joint Ventures in China stellt sich wieder die Frage, ob und wie viel Know-How nach China abfließt. Reuter hat keine Sorge über den vielfach befürchteten Technologieabfluss und betont, dass Kuka ein „Teil der Familie ist“. Auch der China-Experte Dr. Stefan Söhn bekräftig aus den zahlreichen Erfahrungen mit chinesischen Firmenübernahmen in Deutschland, dass die „Unternehmen in Ruhe gelassen werden“ und „im Gegenzug sich der chinesische Markt für sie öffnet“.
